This demo property shows External Images working perfectly with the Houzez theme. The Houzez theme is a great choice if you’re building a property or airbnb style website, but image storage for properties can become a real issue.

Normally, it makes sense to retain SOLD properties on your site for search engine optimisation, and so before long you will run out of disk space. For properties there are normally numerous photos, often in excess of 20 photos per property, and they’re normally high quality meaning images for your property in the various sizes WordPress generates can use anything between 50MB and 200MB per property.

If you only have 100GB of storage on your server, you’ll very soon run out of storage space just because of your images – once you’re approaching 250 properties (current + sold properties) you’ll find your disk space running low.

External Images solves both of these issues by allowing you to store images on third party servers. You can see in this demo images stored on imgur, Google Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox, but you can store your images wherever you like – Amazon S3, another server, or even a CDN from a property service.

With External Images you will never run out of disk space due to images and your imports will complete faster than you can believe.
